I've been trying to take a break from reading Kerouac
But here I am with "Maggie Cassidy" again for the third time
And I thought by now I would be moved out of my parents' house
And have a place in Fishtown with my friends

But even so
I seem to be
Exactly where I need to be
I'm finally meeting some solid people

It was 3 a.m. and I couldn't stop typing
Hitting "Send" took a lot of nerve
It's alright that she never replied when I reached out to her
So I set my alarm for 7:30

One year before I never would have gotten out of bed

I listened to this when it first came out, and then didn't really return to it... until this month. Listening to "You were Cool" realed me in, and since then the whole album has become a huge safety blanket for me - singing "up the wolves" to myself to get myself to stop crying on the bus, etc. etc. This is too much to say in a Bandcamp Review but I need to say it somewhere, this is gonna be one of those albums I look back on in ten years and think "that one saved my life" micyclej
